******** Massage Chair: Relief For Acute Back Aches

A Viable Alternative To Traditional Means Of Alleviating Back Aches

There are so many people who suffer back aches and this may, in some cases, be so acute as to warrant taking some relief measures and what better way than to utilize a massage chair. Most often, the lower back is the part most afflicted with aches and pain and this may end up affecting the upper body muscles as well. The vast majority of relief measures suggested for alleviating back aches are taking rest, heating the affected area or taking pain relieving medications, as well as taking bed rest, which studies indicate may not after all be the best remedy.

Till recently, it was these traditional methods which people sought for getting relief but that has changed with newer scientific studies throwing up solutions such as a massage chair to cure back aches. People who have used massage chairs to cure their aches have positive things to say about this means which is a therapy that has been known for quite some time, of late.

A study released by the American Medical Association in its April 2001 issue named Archives of Internal Medicine shows massage chairs to be one of the premium relief giving equipment available today that can be used productively to cure chronic back aches and which do not have any side effects, and should be on top of the various options available these days. It is believed that as many as three fourths of those who have undertaken massage chair therapy have been found to have benefited considerably and this percentage of positive responses are much higher than for other traditional means of relief solutions.

Anybody who has tried and not found satisfactory relief from other traditional forms of medical treatment should seriously consider massage chair therapy as a scientifically proven method that has proved itself successful in alleviating chronic and other back aches. Even though heating the affected area is a very effective means of alleviating pains it can also be alleviated by a massage chair. Another common cause of back ache is not sitting properly, especially at the workplace and in such instances the massage chair, which can be made to recline horizontally will help greatly to give relief to the aching back. This is achieved by lowering the pressure on the back, especially by loosening muscles, creating a reduction in tissue adhesion as well as showing considerable improvement in the local blood pressure.

There are many companies with forward looking attitudes that are installing massage chairs at their workplace with brands such as Sterling, Keyton, Sanyo and HTT being popular makers of such massage chairs. As an investment, these massage chairs will certainly pay back the costs through reducing the time lost to back ache suffering employees missing work as well as eliminating side effects that some medications may cause.
