These are your typical endurance exercises that can stimulate increased heart rate and breathing during the duration of the exercise program or activity. These are usually in the form of brisk walking, jogging, biking, swimming and other activities that can make your heart rate go up at a reasonable level. For this type of senior fitness exercise, you need to go slow when you are just starting and gradually build your endurance.

There are many forms of exercises that are beneficial as senior fitness exercises. They can be helpful for older adults but care needs to be considered when starting an exercise regimen. The health of an individual needs to be checked before doing do in order to be aware of your status.
